In the midst of the COVID 19 epidemic, Mila Gokhman conceived of the scheme for an exhibition to be entitled "Mila's Garden," which would consist of a series of nude models with different skin colors wearing cascades of her beaded jewelry.
On their heads, the models would wear crowns of silk flowers made by Gokhman in the Ukrainian tradition. The exhibition would also feature an assortment of leather assemblages and paper collages by Gokhman based on nature themes. On October 11, 2020, Los Angeles-based photographer Michele Mattei shot an extended series of photographs of a single model, Kristina Prague, in her studio in collaboration with Gokhman. What follows is a sequence assembled by the artist.
